Don't put me to work without good food..

Wednesday night
My best friend Gina cooked a delicious (South Beach Diet friendly) meal. I was her sous chef and she lovingly fed me samples while putting me to work on crushing peanuts (with a silver measuring cup) and peeling bell peppers. Who knows me best? of course Gina unni- she will never put me to work without good food. Want a peek at the menu?

- Deviled eggs - Cucumbers with Spicy tuna - Roasted peppers with goat cheese - Celery with Spicy hummus - Thai lettuce wraps with chicken in spicy/ peanut sauce. Topped with crushed peanuts - Bruschetta - Edamame- Sparkling water - Rose champagne

Hungry?

I can't work until I have a good breakfast
Every morning I eat a solid breakfast. Whole grain cereal accompanied by (not low-fat milk but) water and my 20 grains powder with a hint of green tea (Barley, whole wheat, corn, soybeans, black beans to name a few key players) . Don't judge me until you've tried it! My health conscious aunt from Japan recommended I mix this 20 different grains powder into water or milk everyday. Just the thought of it seemed healthy so I dedicated myself to it since May. What were the results? An overall happy Tina.

Keynote is that I'm satisfied and full (not craving any sugary sweets or pastries which I am notorious for eating anytime of day). Best part is that the powder itself is actually a little sweet and 1 generous tablespoon costs me 40 calories as opposed to 90 calories in lowfat milk. Aside from hunger pangs another (painful for others? gross, irritating) side effect from not eating breakfast is bad breath. I've had it...you had it..people get it. Eat a solid breakfast and that can help fight the good fight against hunger breath. So..happy Tina is productive at work, doesn't give attitude to Albert, more focused, attentive and has her mind on the task at hand and not on food (well, not on wanting to eat food RIGHT now). You can mix 2 tbs in water and drink it as a breakfast shake when you're on the go. If anyone is interested in the powder you can buy a large bag at Hanahreum or at a med. sized Korean Market. If a store is not available I will pick one up for you. I'm a fan.
